Safe Environments

Our commitment

We recognize the great responsibility we have to protect the integrity and dignity of each of our students.

Everyone at the school is committed to using every means to ensure healthy and safe environments where the dignity of every person is respected and promoted, especially that of each of the minors who study at our school.

Today more than ever, we know that abuse of any kind causes deep pain and harms the person who has suffered it, their family and society as a whole. This awareness has led us not only to have a Policy on the matter, but to ensure that every staff member, without exception, knows it, understands it and lives it at all times.

Our Safe Environments Policy includes principles, rules and procedures to guarantee a safe environment and thereby prevent any situation of abuse. The Policy has three sections:

Ambientes Seguros

The Policy has three sections

1

Code of conduct

For everyone who interacts with minors, with the aim of safeguarding the physical, sexual, psychological and social integrity of every child at the school.

2

Reporting and response procedure

A clear procedure to follow for reporting and addressing any breach of the established code of conduct.

3

Implementation and verification guide

So that the Policy is lived out and the suitability of staff to work with minors is reviewed.

All school staff are properly trained in the Policy, which means they understand the seriousness of abuse, actively work to prevent situations that could put students at risk and, if there is any report of abuse or breach of the code of conduct, know how to act with clear procedures that seek first to stop it and then to proceed as required by the country's laws.

Each school has a designated Safe Environments Officer who is primarily responsible for ensuring that staff are properly trained and that the Policy is correctly applied. To carry out this role, the officer receives ongoing training and supervision.

Prevention involves all of us. If you have any concern or message regarding Safe Environments at our school, we invite you to contact us.
